Ben Patrick

Founder of Eco Asia, Entrepreneur

Patrick is  from France and grew up in Germany. 

He has a higher degree in agriculture and was certified as an International Project Manager by the Permaculture Research Institute (PRI) of Australia, related to permaculture news.

He spent one year in Australia at Zaytuna Farm, home of the PRI, as part of an internship program, with Geoff Lawton as his mentor.  

He has a background in farm and sustainable tourism and works as a consultant for ECOASIA for international organizations, like the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ farm expert) and for the private sector.

 

He is also consulting at the botanical garden where he facilitates Teacher of Teacher Trainings (TOT) with Fritz Maddrell.  

He is the founder of ECO ASIA and initiated the Green Mango Farm

Vath Boualapha

Project coordinator

Vath is  from Laos, is christian and has Khmu origins. 

He has a higher degree in tourism management and speaks fluent English and Chinese. 

 

He works at Eco Asia as a project coordinator and is in charge of welcoming guests, assists in trainings, translation activities and is involved in all operations at the Green Mango Farm

He was certified with a 2 day Permaculture Intensive Certificate delivered by Eco Asia.

Chanpheng Khouchaiching

Permaculture consultant

Chanpheng is  from Laos PDR.

He has a higher degree in agriculture and was promoted as one of the best in his fields with a specialization in mushroom and aquaponic vegetable growing. 

He is running a small business in selling oyster mushrooms. 

In 2018 he worked as a farm manager in collaboration with Ben Patrick at the Pullman Luang Prabang project to build up a 2 ha permaculture garden. He was later promoted to the head of gardens, for the total 15 ha of land.  

He was also certified with a Permaculture Teacher Certificate, delivered by an accredited member of the Australian Permaculture Research Institute, .

He is active in some local design activities and is supporting the Green Mango Farm as a permaculture teacher and project manager for ECOASIA.

Fritz Maddrell

Fund sourcing and teaching

Fritz is  from the US.

 

He is working since many years in permaculture teaching and design. He is part time based in Laos.

 

He was teaching over 1 year at Pha Tad Ke, the botanical garden of Luang Prabang, where he helped to build up the permaculture project and to put the principles into action. He was also certified with a Permaculture Teacher Certificate, delivered by an accredited member of the Australian Permaculture Research Institute .

 

He is active in many design projects in Laos and is teaching at the Green Mango Farm as a permaculture teacher for ECOASIA and facilitate permaculture talks.
